Project Serenity
Project Serenity was made during a 48-hour game jam hosted by Chalmers, where it ended up winning overall.
The game was developed in a team of four: a composer, a technical artist, a UX designer, and me. My role was gameplay programming and game design. It was made in Unity.
The core of the game is very simple, and that’s something I like about it. A small set of mechanics is enough to create an engaging experience, without relying on complex systems or over-designed structures.
The visuals and sound play a big role as well. They’re built around the gameplay rather than competing with it, and the music changes depending on your remaining health, which helps tie everything together and gives the game its atmosphere.
